Recently, the China Industrial Cyber Security Center announced the list of “2020 Excellent AI Application Solution”. After rounds of rigorous evaluation by the experts, Duolun Technology was awarded the “2020 Excellent Application Solution” for its competitive product of intelligent driver training - the “Intelligent teaching system with a robot coach based on AI technology” (hereinafter referred to as “DoDo Coach”). The innovative application made Duolun Technology stand out from hundreds of applications applying for the honor.

The evaluation invited an expert group consisting of academicians in the field of AI, well-known industrial experts and representatives of investment and financing to make the evaluation. All shortlisted solutions are required to have an independent intellectual property right, an advanced technology, realized the industrialization or application and they should represent the leading technologies in the field of AI in China. It is reported that the selection is aimed to strengthen the construction of new infrastructure such as AI, follow the requirements of Development Plan of the New Generation of AI, The Three-year Plan of Promoting the Development of the New Generation of AI industry (2018-2020) and other documents, know China’s innovation development and application in AI industry and promote the industrial development by the demonstration of exemplary cases.

Description of the Overall Manufacturing Process

Relying on the driver test research demonstration base of Ministry of Public Security, Duolun Technology in terms of driver training, carries out systematic research in five aspects (robot design and manufacturing, human-machine co-integration control, automatic positioning and navigation, human-machine natural interaction, and AR/VR), so as to create a comfortable robotized intelligent training system for trainees. The system is equipped with four functions (intelligent teaching to reduce trainees’ stress; standard teaching to reduce coaches’ burden; innovative management to improve quality and efficiency; intelligent analysis supported by massive data. Together with four core products: DoDo Cockpit, DoDo Driver APP, DoDo Driver cloud platform, it contributes to comprehensively constructing a new AI teaching system.

New AI Driver Training System

Up to now, as the representative intelligent driver training product of the company, DoDo Coach has provided services for 1.05 million trainees and 58,000 coaches, covering more than 2,300 driver training institutions nationwide. At the same time, Duolun Technology provides pre-employment assessment and training services for designated drivers of “DiDi” in more than 40 cities through DoDo Coach.
