On December 22, 2021, a traffic safety lesson with a theme of “Children & Parents Walk Hand-in-hand, Keep Safety Always in Mind” was provided for students of Tai’erzhuang District Experimental Primary School (Nigou Campus) in Zaozhuang City, by Traffic Branch, Tai’erzhuang District Bureau of Zaozhuang Public Security Bureau, the Bureau of Education and Sports of Tai’erzhuang District, Tai’erzhuang Comprehensive Law-enforcing Bureau, as well as Duolun Technology Corporation Ltd. to promote orderly and safe travel and create a harmonious and civilized traffic environment. Nearly 1,000 primary school students were involved in the lively and interesting interactive experiences, acquiring knowledge about and skills in traffic safety with ease, thereby enhancing their self-preservation ability and traffic safety awareness.

Additionally, the event had attracted extensive attention from Shandong Radio and Television, Tai’erzhuang District Media Center and China Communication Television Broadcasting Network (CCTBN), and drawn more than 5,000 viewers in virtue of livestreaming on TikTok, which exerted a positive social impact on popularizing traffic safety knowledge and creating a civilized Zaozhuang City.

Intended to enhance students’ traffic safety awareness and help create a safe campus, this public welfare activity concerning traffic safety had witnessed active participation and generous support of communities in Tai’erzhuang, for which the leaders present also put forward valuable constructive advice.

It was bitterly cold outdoors in late December in Tai’erzhuang which is located in the hinterland of the Grand Canal, but the weather did not dampen the students’ enthusiasm. The activity began after the lively 12·2 themed traffic safety exercises, during which nearly one hundred students displayed their youthful vigor through dancing on the teachers’ instructions.

Later, students took part in the traffic safety course for children devised by Ding Lulu from the Traffic Branch, Tai’erzhuang District Bureau of Zaozhuang Public Security Bureau, and Wei Junrui, the ambassador for traffic safety of Duolun Technology. Involved in games about traffic rules, standard parking, safety helmet and truck blind spots, students were more likely to cultivate self-preservation awareness in the simulated scenarios, giving added impetus to a safe campus. Professional and interesting activities can equip children with not only more systematic and comprehensive traffic safety knowledge, but also rich and interesting game experiences.

The motorcycle show presented by Team Cavalry, Traffic Branch of Tai’erzhuang District Bureau of Zaozhuang Public Security Bureau, was hailed with acclamation from children.

The students said that they had learned a lot from the course, such as the importance of wearing a helmet when riding and keeping away from trucks. Moreover, they learned new and difficult words such as vehicle blind spot, difference of radius between inner wheels, etc. that were an integral part of travel safety and would be conducive to a safe environment for their growth.
